...well actually it was my present to me - a new 50mm 1.4 AF-S lens for my Nikon. but hey, a better lens means not only more sanity for me when shooting in low light [kitchen at 9pm + overhead bulb = crappy light + no tripod = blah], but better pics for the blog.
