So, cooking takes much longer when snapping photos along the way - and I was told by RJ on x-mas day that I was acting like a tourist - but you know what, it makes me drool looking back at the pics! You may want to have a snack nearby just in case... Stuffing and Candied Sweet Potatoes to start the feast. The Stuffing actually fell in the 'aligned with the detox' category. Def doesn't negate all the other dishes but hey, close enough for x-mas! [yes, detox over Christmas, slightly insane, … [Read more...]

Christmas was just lovely. Beautiful day, fabulous food [if I do say so myself], great friends. B is about to pop in a week and a half, so I offered to cook x-mas lunch for all of us - I got to do the full menu, we all got to eat until we were ready to burst, some more than others! More to come but here is a taste... … [Read more...]
It’s beginning to smell alot like Christmas
Well, we got that real tree [yippeeee] and although a bit lopsided, it fits in just fine! I even managed to consolidate the 5 different boxes of decorations from all the moving we have done and find some good things in the process. I could get used to this…
A beautiful day on the harbour, some culture at the Annie Leibovitz exhibit, lunch at Cafe Sydney with B. and a touch of shopping. Oh dear, this lady of leisure thing is too nice..... … [Read more...]
You would think the Queen were here
More security than for the Prime Minister [obvs] more hype than for the President [you know the most powerful man in the world, yadda yadda]. On second thought, she probably has more $ than the Queen, and most definitely more influence! Oprah has taken over Sydney and is climbing the Harbour Bridge today - after accomplishing the required other [visit to Uluru/holding a Koala/Great Barrier Reef/etc] quintessential media activities. There is even a big red 'O' on the side of said Bridge. The … [Read more...]
