Around November I was looking at the artist list for this year's Bluesfest in Byron and amongst one of the most amazing lineups I have ever seen there was The Indigo Girls. Food, glorious food
So, cooking takes much longer when snapping photos along the way - and I was told by RJ on x-mas day that I was acting like a tourist - but you know what, it makes me drool looking back at the pics! You may want to have a snack nearby just in case... Stuffing and Candied Sweet Potatoes to start the feast. The Stuffing actually fell in the 'aligned with the detox' category. Christmas was just lovely. Beautiful day, fabulous food [if I do say so myself], great friends. B is about to pop in a week and a half, so I offered to cook x-mas lunch for all of us - I got to do the full menu, we all got to eat until we were ready to burst, some more than others! It’s beginning to smell alot like Christmas
Well, we got that real tree [yippeeee] and although a bit lopsided, it fits in just fine! I even managed to consolidate the 5 different boxes of decorations from all the moving we have done and find some good things in the process. The whole place smells like a pine forest, and if the dropped needles don't drive RJ completely crazy, it may stay up well into January. There’s one in every neighbourhood
Don't get me wrong, I do love Sydney, but x-mas is never quite the same over here for a couple of reasons......1. as nice as it is to go to the beach on x-mas day, some how cold and snow is the only way it truly feels like the holidays..... 2. have you ever tried to bake pies and turkey in 90 degree heat?
