There is a saying in Australia - 'does what it says on the tin'. This is that, but without the tin. It is - depending on your hemisphere, the end or beginning of - winter, there is kale, and beans. Cauliflower & Broccoli Soup with Garlic Chips
I've been churning out the soups this winter. I make a huge pot on the weekend and take it for lunch pretty much every day for the next week. Sometimes I have it with bread, other times I stir through a handful of beans or some cooked quinoa or brown rice. This soup is amazingly creamy for having no cream in it. Spicy Carrot, Tomato and Lentil Soup
I love soup. I know, it's a big statement. There is this little cafe downstairs from my day-job office. They are friendly, and they make a good cup of tea and they have soup at lunch....$8.50 soup. Classic Pumpkin Soup
We stayed local for brunch last weekend instead of heading over the bridge like usual. Wandering around our neighbourhood in an attempt to try out a new place, we could only find one that was still serving a breakfast menu after 12pm - our semi-regular one of course...oh well, at least we attempted variation!
