Sydney is rapidly sinking in a big'ol vat of the flu. Everywhere you look people are sick and as per acceptable and encouraged practice, they are all being-strong-and-pushing-through which translates literally to coming-to-work-when-they-should-be-home-in-bed-sharing-germs-with-their-cats-instead-of-with-me. Needless to say after weeks of public transport with strangers coughing everywhere and meetings with workmates sniffling away, I woke up the other morning with a throat like sandpaper and … [Read more...]
Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice…
...that's what little girls are made of. And lets be honest, whether we are 6 or 30-something or 70-something we all like sweet, pretty things, you know it's true. Things and Stuff and More Things Thursday is brought to you this week by a couple of sweet links a SABH announcement and a Christmas gift flash-back. Had a rough idea of what I was looking for and the answer came in the form of tongue and groove cypress pine floorboards - some how … [Read more...]
Dinner for one
So everyone has that diner they eat when there is no one else around - no one to feed something from each of the food groups to, or appease with a steak, or impress with something complicated that was 'just a breeze to throw together'. It's that thing that you generally eat standing up at the counter, or wearing an ex's t-shirt in front of the TV, or even curled up in bed with the cat. Some hectic nights we resort to fried eggs on toast and I've been known to have cereal with frozen … [Read more...]
