The inaugural Cake Bake and Sweets Show is coming to Sydney in a week and a half!
Now I’m certainly not the only person out there with tickets to share — but don’t let that dampen the fact that you can win one of two double passes to the show to see Australian and international baking and decorating talent, watch demos, browse, sample, taste and buy all manner of sweet treats!
I’ll be heading out on the Friday to check out the event and having watched the fabulous Duff Goldman from the time Charm City Cakes first aired in America-land I can’t wait to see him take the stage.
Make no mistake, this show has something for every dessert lover including round the clock demos from:
- LifeStyle FOOD’s All Star Theatre
- Delicious Kitchen by KitchenAid
- The Bakery Theatre by Devondale
- Cake Decorating Theatre
— and that’s before you hit the Producers Marketplace, Taste of Chocolate and Dessert Table Showcase. Phew.

I grew up licking the cake batter out of mixing bowls back when my mum was a baker for a local cafe. I’d love to hit up the show and learn a few new baking tricks from the masters – especially Mr Zumbo himself!

love anything sweet, this event will be a dream come true.
Carolyn says
To hopefully pick up some great tips and bargains, but the highlight for me would be seeing Duff Goldman 🙂
Anna says
I watched my mum baking as a child and would always try to help out. At high school we had cooking lessons (home economics) and whatever we learnt to do at school I would cook at home for the family. Mum was a great supporter and she would clean up after me (as I would always make a terrible mess). I am always baking something to share with family, friends and work colleagues. My passion is baking and it is my way of sharing my love with others. At the show I’m sure I’ll try and buy so I can create at home.

I’d love to take my mum, we love baking treats together and giving them away to friends. It would be a chance for us to have a good catch up and gossip all things sweet treats!

It would be the perfect opportunity to learn more about making cakes for our young family as we have a number of birthdays and celebrations coming up, plus I owe my better half a birthday cake from a couple of days ago!

First things first: Ace of Cakes!! Much love.
Baking is my ‘thing’ and I hardly ever bake the same thing twice – so the event would be an unfathomable wonderland of new ideas, ingredients and inspiration.* So in a way, me winning would actually be a win for all my family, friends and colleagues 😉
*And treats. Lots of treats.
