If you follow on Twitter or Tumblr or Instagram you may have seen some of this – or you may not have – so here is some stuff that caught my eye over the past week [lets be honest, month] or so…
Of course the food comes first…
- I can only imagine the dinner party brilliance this would inspire. The Dead Celebrity Cookbook definitely would have made my Christmas list had I known about it before today. I love sht like this!
- Even I didn’t know some of these emergency ingredient substitutions. But my favourite old stand-by wasn’t there: Unsweetened baking chocolate 1 ounce (square) = 3 Tbsp cocoa + 1 Tbsp butter or oil.
- I have been looking for a ‘what fish is best to eat in Australia’ list for ages. This one from the Australian Marine Conservation Society is brilliant. There is even an app for that.
- 7 foods you should never eat. Even if you don’t plan on following any of it, at least have a quick read. Now I just need to learn how to can my own tomatoes this summer…
A bit of Christmas Cheer – or stuff seen while out doing some last minute shopping…
- Inappropriate Christmas decorations – you’ve been warned.
- Don’t ever work somewhere that makes you do this… kids, take note.
