Well it’s official, RJ is participating in Movember this year! It was only a matter of time, ever since I went to the launch party I may have been more than a little encouraging about it all. It’s actually been official since 1 November [oops] when the goatee was shaved and he started out with a fresh clean face, but now there is finally a photo to display the glory.
For all the hilarity of masses of men running around for a month with ‘staches that range from ‘boldly stunning’ to ‘just a bit creepy’ to ‘oh, bless’, Movember is about so much more. And RJ participating is the first step to standing up against a disease that has already taken too many family members.
If you know someone who is participating, support them. If you don’t you are welcome to use RJ as your Movember proxy. In any case, if you are a man, take the Month of Movember as a reminder to go and get a checkup – the people in your life will thank you for it.
