Did you know there are two kinds of people in this world? Yep, those that like lemon flavoured things and those that like cherry flavoured things. Now I’m not talking about the fresh version of these fruits, but stuff like jellies, drinks and hard candies. Just think about it for a moment – you know I’m right.
With that in mind, we’re at it again… and the Sweet Adventures Blog Hop theme for April is Lemons!
Now even though I don’t eat the sugary bits anymore I am without a doubt a lemon-fan all the way – always have been. It used to be that in the absence of lemon in a packet of gummies [or to erase the horrible injustice of eating a yellow one only to find pineapple, or worse banana] I’d go for lime and orange – and even grape – before I ever got near any red ones. Now I just drink lemon in warm water each morning, can’t start my day without it…
So needless to say I am on-board with this month’s adventure. The key ingredient being sour does of course amplify the usual challenge of how to make a dessert without copious amounts of sugar but that’s what I’m here for!
This month’s Hostess is Jennifer from Delicieux, head on over to her site for more details about the hop. As for the basics:
#SABH will open at Delicieux for posts and link-up 9am Monday 16 April 2012 – Australian Eastern Standard Time [AEST: Sydney]. You can link up at any time during this week but remember, only new posts which go live after Monday 16 April 2012 can be linked up.
SABH is brought to you by your hostesses – Delicieux, 84th & 3rd, The Hungry Australian, Dining With a Stud, and The Capers of the Kitchen Crusader – can you believe this is our 6th hop?!
Hope you can join us, and if you’re a cherry person, I might be able to look past it – this once – ha!

A big lemon fan here too! I have four of the gnarliest looking most delicious and juicy lemons in the fridge that I can’t wait to use 🙂

The lemons on our lemon tree are finally turning yellow – I’m excited I’ll finally get to cook with them and for such a a fun event. Looking forward to it, JJ!
